Processing a Big Change, Gift Guides and Do Bathroom Fixtures Need to Match?
#1
Breaking news! We have officially sold our house and are moving to the Southern Highlands!
So with all this change I have a few/many things on my mind. Including do I turn the whole move and grand renovation plans into a serious content machine and actually try to turn it into a business? I’m still not sure. It sounds exhausting if I’m honest.
What I do know is that I’m trying to process it all through the lens of a quote from James Clear:
“When making plans, think big. When making progress, think small.”
So watch this space to see if I do have the motivation to turn my home into a content machine. And in the meantime, if you know of anyone who needs help with styling and decorating their home in the Southern Highlands you know who to call!

I’m obsessed with picking through Christmas Gift guides. This is the best one I have seen (but really only covers adults/women). I just wish it included a few things for kids and the boys because I always find them the hardest to shop for.

Last week a friend of mine asked me if her bathroom fixtures need to match. It’s a good question so I thought I would share my thoughts here.
And while there is no right and wrong answer my thought is that all the taps, shower heads, towel rails and toilet roll handles should match. And most tapware suppliers will allow for this.
Where I do normally allow for subtle differences is in mirror frames, light fittings and hooks. These 3 things are where I often look at sourcing vintage items that can inject some personality into the space and make the whole space feel less “matchy matchy”.
Thanks for reading.
Until next time,
