Arts and Crafts: A return to the well made and handcrafted

The Arts and Crafts movement from 1866 – 1910 rejected modernity in favour of a romantic revival of medieval and folk aesthetics and traditional hand made techniques. Its impact was far reaching, and it continues to influence craftsmen and interior designers to this day. I did a deep dive into the history recently and have shared a few key learnings here.

Notes on colour psychology

Whether you are completely redecorating or looking to make a small change in your home, choosing the right colour scheme can be very difficult - especially when you want different rooms to create different moods.

The bedroom, for example, should make you feel calm and relaxed, where as the dining room should make you feel more lively and sociable.

Here I break down 6 different colours and what they each mean.
