Living with kids doesn’t mean you have to accept living amongst chaos. But with these few simple tips you CAN find a balance between creating a liveable and beautiful home when you have children.

Use high performance fabrics

You don’t have to wait for nice furniture just because you have kids. You just need to make sure it’s covered in tough upholstery fabric. Maybe just try to steer clear of pure white. It can be cleaned but just save yourself the effort.

Consider durability

Make sure your furniture is well made and sturdy. Especially when it comes to things like coffee tables or stools. Really anything that can be climbed on.

Choose with intention

Think about what’s within reach. Don’t use breakable pieces on a coffee table or on low shelves. Instead use objects like baskets, small books or lightweight bowls.

Invest in beautiful woven baskets

After bedtime, throw all the toys in the basket and put the lid on. You will feel like new again.
